Your Wordpress website might be opening/loading too slow.
According to my experience, your website homepage can open quicker when you reduce number of articles shown on the homepage.
How to do it:
1. Login at http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/
2. Click "Settings" and then "Reading"
3. set: Blog pages show at most 2 posts
4. Save Changes
Hope that helps. If not helps, you may try temporarilly disabling your wordpress plugins. If still very slow, contact your hosting provider for assistance.
