Emails sent from my server are not delivered




Hello,

as a VPS or dedicated server admin You may face an issue when some emails are not be delivered to the recipients because they are filtered out by recipient mail server as a SPAM.
What to do?!

1. check if your server is not sending SPAM:
a) http://mail-blacklist-checker.online-domain-tools.com/
b) http://www.dnsbl.info/dnsbl-database-check.php
c) http://www.blacklistalert.org/


2.
 To increase chances Your emails will be delivered, you can try to setup an SPF record.

3. asking server provider to setup rdns (reverse dns or PTR) might help too: #1 http://mxtoolbox.com/ReverseLookup.aspx #2 http://www.emailtalk.org/ptr.aspx #3 http://www.dnsqueries.com/en/reverse_lookup.php 

4.
 check that your emails looks serious and not SPAMmy, check your SPAM score using:

Your aim should be not to send unsolicited email and an instead send email with a good SPAM score and details on how to unsubscribe.

Spam score is being calculated on mail server and there are many things which can have impact on that value (message words, your IP, text in subject, etc.) For more info about this please look at google. For example here are many pages about this:

If you wish to examine why emails are not delivered, you may get a report like this one:

Your score is 95 there, the closer to the 100, the better it is.
